My name is Lindsey and I live in California. I’m the organizer for Khawla and baby Zakaria. Below is their story in her own words.

My name is Khawla Zaatar, and I am a mother living through the unimaginable in Gaza.

My baby boy, Zakaria Nahed, is suffering from severe malnutrition and critical medical complications. He is barely one year old, and his fragile body is fighting a battle no child should ever have to face.

Our home is no longer a safe place. Hunger, fear, and destruction surround us. The healthcare system has completely collapsed. There are no hospitals that can provide Zakaria with the urgent care he needs. Every day, I watch him grow weaker; his ribs visible through his skin, his eyes wide with pain and confusion

I’ve done everything I possibly can, but now I am helpless. Zakaria must leave Gaza urgently to survive. Without help, I fear I will lose my son.

We are raising $50,000 to cover the essential costs of:

Emergency medical evacuation

Travel permits and transportation

Basic living expenses outside Gaza

Nutrition, medical support, and rehabilitation

Shelter and care for both Zakaria and me as his mother.

This is not a luxury. It is a necessity. Please help me save my son’s life and give him the chance to heal.

Every donation, every share, every kind word brings us one step closer to getting Zakaria out of danger and into safety, health, and hope.

Donate now. Help Zakaria escape Gaza and begin his journey to recovery.

From one mother’s heart to another, thank you for not looking away.

With hope and faith, Khawla (Mother of Zakaria Nahed)
